WARM: Weather and Aging Resilience Model
An emerging area of commitment for AFIC has been to explore what it means to age in a world with increasing extreme weather events. To better understand the pressing community challenges, AFIC has hosted numerous community conversations and initiated our Weather and Aging Resilience Model (WARM), co led by Dr. Dabelko-Schoeny and Dr. Smitha Rao . The Center has presented on this work to local, national, and international audiences looking at similar community efforts.

Age-Friendly and Climate Resilient Communities: A Grey–Green Alliance
Age-Friendly Columbus and Franklin County was the second community in Ohio to integrate questions around climate resilience in the Age-Friendly assessment. Modeled after Age-Friendly Athens County, results of these questions can be found HERE.
